3:Set of ravier and plate / Terre de Fer / H.B. & Cie Choisy-le-Roi / cat / birds / French antique /
Ravier
Fine and widespread crazing can be seen across the surface, giving the piece a soft sheen and a rich antique presence. Light age-related discoloration is visible, particularly on the underside where deeper brown tones appear — not as damage, but as a charming testament to time.
The printed motif shows occasional fading and breaks in the pattern, but nothing that detracts from the design; rather, it enhances the antique character. Minor rubbing and tiny marks can be found on the rim.
The reverse also shows full-surface crazing with a more pronounced patina than the front. Areas of mottled staining and slight fading can be observed, particularly around the footring where discoloration is the strongest. The maker’s mark remains clearly impressed and retains wonderful definition.
Overall, the ravier has a beautifully matured look — an excellent example of antique character with warmth, age, and presence.

Plates
The plate displays fine crazing throughout with a softly aged appearance. Gentle fading is present across the surface along with scattered light brown speckled staining. Light utensil marks can be seen here and there, along with several subtle greyish dotted lines. Blue/grey specks of color splash are also visible.
Although portions of the printed pattern show slight wear or breaks, the design remains clear and visually striking. When viewed from the side, small aged spots are visible, most likely caused by natural glaze pooling near the foot during firing.
The reverse also shows comprehensive crazing with similar tonal aging. There are areas of greyish dotted discoloration, slight texture variations from age and washing, and several small blue/grey glaze specks. The backstamp shows wear and breaks, and delicate brown patina remains in places.
Overall, the plate possesses a lovely depth born from time — a truly charming antique with movement, texture, and a quiet beauty in its surface.
